Surveys & Polls: ... may also be posted here as well as in "NEW" to get your input regarding ideas submitted to us by riders & promoters to better this program. Thanks to all the promoters and riders for making this program a success. We receive constant reviews from all over the country and industry. The majority feel this is the best balanced system out there. Many promoters from around the country have adopted this system. ... many out there have copied the structure adding their own variances. Bottom line, structured using the AMA format ... adjusted to work for TEXAS. It works! EXTRA: Need an eMail account? 4. ... Effective Immediately:
50-65cc riders advancing to 80cc machines that normally finish in the lower 30%
of the smaller bike class and/or normally have non points paying finishes (using
the scale for advancement of other riders) MAY be legal to ride the D class ...
this does not define that you ARE legal. Each rider will be considered on
a case by case basis. This rule MAY be applied on a case by case basis to
those 80cc riders advancing to big bikes who have not "pointed out" of
the D class. All rules and guidelines set forth in T.A.P.S. will be taken
into consideration by a race committee ... similar to a board for appeals.
Please check the ABOUT section for further information. October 2007: The AMA's Ryan Holliday gives us the okay to continue with our scale. It works! The
points-keeper requested a copy of the newly adopted points scale being used by
the AMA. We will continue with what we know is working, except for the
changes which will post above that are positive changes to help grow and move this sport
forward. April 2007:
We are very pleased how accurate the 2006 RPV list is. Only two persons
out of hundreds and hundreds appealed their rider classification. Five
others presented information we did not have, so we included the new results
into their RPV score to give a true performance record and they remain in the
lower class. Having complete information provides for accurate scores and
helps to avoid having to go through an appeal process. Of the two appeals
... one advances and from results viewed online is doing very well in the B
class. THIS SYSTEM WORKS! December 2006: The 2006 RPV List is effective December 1st 2006 for the 2007 season. As in 2005 listed below, many results were faxed,
emailed and sent by mail. These results were manually calculated into a
RPV. If you need to know which events, or don't think we have everything
to fairly access your score..., please call. December 2005: The 2005 RPV List is effective December 1st 2005 for the 2006 season. These RPV standings reflect races found in the T.A.P.S. Online Reporting and events submitted by individuals. These events are: Badlands: 4-16, 5-14, 6-4, 6-25 All riders have been cross
checked within the database since coming across several people riding out
of class. If you see "BFB" before the rider in the list, this
means they have ridden out of class and may do it again. Protect yourself
and bring it to the attention of the promoter at any race such activity is
taking place. Remember, if you police it, we will enforce it. Help
us "clean up" and bring the competition to where it should be.
We do not accept "anonymous" complaints, protests, results, etc ...
but be assured, your identity WILL be kept confidential. November 2005: Race results have the "new" AP assignments. At this time, these reports are not complete. More results will be posted as they become available. September 2005: The T.A.P.S. revised points scale submitted to the AMA has been approved on a trial basis for 2006. This will be closely monitored/reviewed by the AMA to determine whether or not it will have a permanent stay in the future. All riders (except "D") will earn 2005 APs based on the new scale which will be used to determine RPVs.
The following scale remains the same for all "D" class riders. Once 12 points have been earned, "D" riders must advance to the next higher class.
August 2005: Damage / Rumor Control: Regardless of your participation or qualifying for Loretta Lynn's in 2005, you do not "have to" advance in class until December 1st. July 2005:
We plan to have a Trackside Online Reporting tool up and running
sometime this summer. The tool will be similar to the reporting tool
used by Lake Whitney MX, Freestone County Raceway
and Cycle Ranch
for
race results. The difference will be that you will see your race results
and the advancement points (APs) assigned for each event. ... This tool will not
be set up to keep track of championship
or series points (CPs) which will be calculated by individual tracks and/or
series promoter(s). June 2005: For national qualifying purposes, the RPV List has been revised to show "advanced" riders only. By now, and with the rider's awareness of T.A.P.S., we would hope that they are racing in the appropriate class based on their skill level. We have several phone calls regarding a few advanced "C" riders still competing in the "C" class ... Please, if you police it, we will enforce it! When
protesting another rider, please make sure you have documents to support
it. |
